Royal Blue Heaven

This is one of my favorite dining rooms of all time that I saw on LonnyMag.com! Hats off to Ashley Putman for an amazing use of bold color with white accents. This was the inspiration for my layered dining room table.

Here is another angle incorporating more great accents. What a great idea of leaning a canvas print against another print for a layered look. The arrangement of mismatched candle sticks is a nice touch as well. It's an example of how to mix metals as well as old and new. This makes it feel like you didn't just run to the store and buy a couple candle sticks. It feels assembled over time.

This is one area of a master bedroom designed by Jesse Carrier and Mara Miller that was featured in ElleDecor. The french writing table adds a pop of color to a romantic and muted color palette.

Blue striped bedding (Ralph Lauren) can add a cozy cottage feel like in this Long Island Home. They made an impact by mixing horizontal and vertical stripes. Notice the wall art which are framed maps from London's Portobello market. Maps, calendars, and greeting cards all can be framed as an alternative to store bought prints or canvases.
